The Centre has supported a significant number of SMEs in their exporting activities. Thus, by stimulating sustainable growth in these firms through international trade, entrepreneurship and capacity development, we are helping in particular Sub-Saharan African region achieve the following sustainable development goals:

Encourage entrepreneurial firms to integrate sustainable practices in the business operations as well as promote efficient use of natural resources

Develop and deploy policy agendas that will promote gender-sensitive development, especially ensuring women’s full and effective participation in business as well as equal opportunities for economic growth.

Provide access to knowledge, market intelligence, thereby supporting growth opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Support capacity development, creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation in international business

Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all

Reduce a significant proportion of men, women and children of all ages living in poverty by creating employment opportunities in the local economy
